On 7 December 2007, on the occasion of the evening gala holds at Palazzo Marino after La Scala's premiere, twelve 16th and 17th-century carpets of Moshe Tabibnia's collection are displayed in the palace's Mannerist courtyard of honour. The carpets are hung from the courtyard's balconies, as shown in Vittore Carpaccio, Giovanni and Gentile Bellini's paintings. Amongst the exemplars on display, worthy of mention are the Ushak Star Carpet, the Ushak Medallion Carpet, the 'Lotto', the 'Holbein', a rug with compartments, an Isfahan Carpet, a Dragon Carpet and the famous 16th-century Karapinar Carpet.

Some these carpets, as well as others, will be preserved and displayed at the MATAM, the antique textile museum established under the aegis of MATAM Foundation in the Brera district, Milan, scheduled to open soon.
