Gathering artifacts has reasons that are not always steered towards achieving just one goal. Besides, there even could be no precise aim to reach. Taste, a subtle element subject to change and personal preferences, is thus at the heart of the choices made by those who collect.

It is the sentiment for the antique textile art, carpets, tapestries, kilims, embroideries, to move all ‘souls’ of the Gallery: the collection, the study centre, the conservation laboratory, and the publishing activity. To share such a feeling is our highest vocation.

The Moshe Tabibnia collection includes antique carpets, tapestries and textile artefacts from different epochs and areas of origin. Comparable to examples preserved in museums, these historic textiles are remarkable for their rarity, if not for their uniqueness, and can be regarded as invaluable cultural heritage assets by textile art lovers, scholars, and collectors. Created and enhanced through thoughtful purchases, also from prestigious collections, this gathering is constantly changing as a result of either new acquisitions and disposals or accessions and de-accessions. Indeed, the Galleria Moshe Tabibnia dialogues with museums, cultural institutions, and private collectors from around the world with a view to make exchanges and loans possible.
Each item in the Moshe Tabibnia collection is catalogued and preserved in one of the gallery’s three secure vaults, where more than three thousand artefacts are currently stored. The people working at the Galleria Moshe Tabibnia are committed to ensuring and facilitating the fruition the collection.
